4. Applications
Chemical Industry: PVDF sheets are used to make lining materials for chemical reaction vessels, storage tanks, and pipelines. They can resist the corrosion of strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents, ensuring the safety and durability of equipment. For example, in the production of fertilizers, the reaction vessels often use PVDF sheets as lining to prevent the corrosion of corrosive media such as sulfuric acid and nitric acid.
Electronics Industry: In the semiconductor manufacturing process, PVDF sheets are used to make clean – room equipment components, wafer carriers, and chemical – handling equipment. Their excellent chemical resistance and low outgassing properties help maintain a clean and stable production environment. In addition, PVDF sheets are also used in the production of printed circuit boards and lithium – ion batteries.
Food and Beverage Industry: PVDF sheets are used in food – processing equipment such as conveyors, chutes, and storage bins. They are non – toxic, comply with food – contact regulations, and are easy to clean, which helps to ensure food safety and hygiene.
Pharmaceutical Industry: PVDF sheets are used in the production of pharmaceutical equipment and packaging materials. They can resist the corrosion of various pharmaceutical solvents and ensure the quality and safety of drugs. For example, in the production of injection – molding machines, PVDF sheets are used to make components in contact with drugs to prevent contamination.
Architecture and Construction: PVDF – coated aluminum sheets are widely used in building facades, roofs, and curtain walls. The PVDF coating provides excellent weather resistance, UV resistance, and self – cleaning properties, which can improve the appearance and durability of buildings. In addition, PVDF sheets can also be used as insulation materials and waterproof membranes.
Water Treatment Industry: PVDF sheets are used to make membrane modules for water treatment. The PVDF membrane has good chemical stability, high flux, and anti – fouling properties, which can effectively remove impurities, bacteria, and viruses in water and improve the quality of water.
Textile Industry: PVDF – coated fabrics are used in outdoor clothing, tents, and awnings. The coating provides waterproof, breathable, and UV – resistant properties, which can improve the performance and durability of textiles.
Automotive Industry: PVDF sheets are used in the production of automotive parts such as fuel tanks, battery housings, and engine components. Their high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and good mechanical properties can meet the harsh working conditions of automobiles.
